Yes, the title is accurate. If you're not a fan of "pink" or are afraid to see a sex type toy opened up displaying the innards, then look away. These things have been hanging around my basement WAY too long, it's time to figure out if they are fixable or not.
My FB status was funny, I thought, even though it didn't get much attention. Several people liked it and then unliked it. And a few commented:

Friends, answer honestly. (This is a safe place, I've got a big pack of safety pins) Have you ever wondered what's inside a vibrating egg?

Hello there!
Since you you dig into the circuit of these toys,
I would like to ask you some help with a not-working vibrating egg I have.
I purchase it brand new. Stopped working after a day.
They did not took it back cause I didn't found the receit anymore.
I opened it up and I found some mold (green/white) covering a part of the circuit.
I cleaned it up succesfully, all was looking intact except for a capacitor (smd, no labels) which results dead to the multimeter.
Are these things using some NE555 config is it?
Do you have any suggestions for me?
Thank you,
Simone
thats not mold thats oxidation. gently rub with pencil eraser to clean off the powder making sure not to breath it in.
Hi i bought a egg brand new it was working fine for the first time but the second time it started loosing porer and smelling like burned cabel .
And all of the sudden it stoped working and when i was looking at the speed controller to see if the wires there are intact the wires of the egg were loos and just came out without me even touching the wires now i dont know how to open it to fix it
